Reuse soil

I was wondering if you can reuse soil or if you have to buy new every time.

I use Roots organice formula 707 which is some good soil IMO, I do not use any nutrients just well water...I can tell you that the plants I grew when I re used it were clones and they did not like it at all..Dont get me wrong. they grew and was decent but you could tell. You can certainly try on clones and maybe using seeds mihgt have been better looking plants altogether.. Good luck

look into no-till farming soil
lots of different techniques on youtube too. these are water only soils. plants get their nutrients from other plants and amendments added into the soil prior to use. the only means of recharging the soil is by adding compost.

with that, an idea i was thinking was basically reusing your old soil by amending it with earth worm castings, crab meal, kelp meal, azomite rock dust, and organic compost along with cover crop like clovers. watch this video to get an idea.

I was wondering the same thing. say you got a couple bags of FFOF and happy frog did a grow and dumped the used soil in a tote then started a new grow with the old soil and use nukeheads nutes like a week after they pop?
I would think there should still be some micro nutes left over but obviously not enough to sustain the plant hence the addition of nukeheads. :hands:

With a mixture of reused FFOF and FFHF 50/50 it seems to work fine with NHFPP and fertalome.
